Thanks for visiting my website! I was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved to Manchester in 2021. In 2018, I completed a Bachelor’s degree majoring in animation with a minor in photography, film and television, studying in both Hong Kong and the United States.
Currently, I am pursuing an MA in Filmmaking, with a focus on documentary film. During my master’s program, I completed two documentary shorts, including Andrea’s experience with Yoga practice, and my latest project, The New Immigrants- Hong Kongers.I am eager to explore different types of films to further develop my directing and technical skills, and to present more work to audiences.
Inspired by a 2D animation professor's class, where I explored various mediums and styles, I developed a passion for becoming a 2D generalist. Satoshi Ko's works, such as Tokyo's Godfathers, Millennium Actress, Perfect Blue, deeply influenced me with his editing techniques and the use of metaphors. His film also provided me a meaningful experience in exploring Japanese art and culture, strengthening my desire to work in the 2D animation industry.
